During the same event, in which it announced the new version of its interface dedicated to MIUI 13 for smart devices, Xiaomi revealed its flagship series, Xiaomi 12 series.
The Xiaomi 12 series are the successor of the Mi 11 series introduced by the Chinese giant last year. Xiaomi choose to change the name of this series so that the name of this series is linked directly to the parent company.
This year's series consists of three phones, Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro, and Xiaomi 12X.
The Xiaomi 12 series phones come with an elegant design with curved edges that makes holding the phone comfortable and possible in the hand (unlike the sharp edges of the iPhone 13, for example, which makes it almost impossible to hold it comfortably with one hand).
Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro are the stars of the show as they come with the newest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 octa-core processor, manufactured with 4 nanometers manufacturing precision, and featuring the new Armv9 architecture, while the 12X phone comes with modest specifications less than them and at a cheaper price as well.
Common Specifications:
All three models have a hole punch selfie camera in the center top of the main screen. It's a wide-angle lens 32-megapixel camera capable of shooting video up to 1080p 30 frames per second (fps) and equipped with 8 to 12 GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128 to 256 GB UFS 3.1 internal storage.
This series uses a vapor chamber (VC) liquid cooling heat dissipation technology, to keep your phone cool even when it is doing large and complex operations like video editing or heavy graphics games.
Xiaomi 12 series comes with the new MIUI 13 interface, based on Android 12. They have an under-screen optical fingerprint scanner, a Type-C 2.0 for charging and data transfer, and support 5G networks, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, Bluetooth 5.2.

Xiaomi 12 has a 4,500mAh battery and supports 67W fast wired charging, 50W fast wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. It is equipped with a stereo speaker sound system, tuned by Harman/Kardon.
Xiaomi 12 Pro:
The Xiaomi 12 Pro features a 6.73-inch Samsung LTPO 2K AMOLED display, with a 3200 x 1440 pixels resolution, a density of 521 pixels per inch, a 120 Hz refresh rate, a 480 Hz touch sampling rate, and a peak brightness of 1500 nits. It supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, and it's also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection against scratches.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro has a powerful rear camera system that consists of three 50MP cameras. The main camera has the flagship Sony IMX707 sensor (wide lens, f / 1.9 aperture, supports Dual Pixel AF and OIS), the second is a telephoto camera (f / 1.9 aperture, supports PDAF, and optical zoom up to 2x), and the last is an Ultra-Wide-Angle Camera (f/2.2 aperture, 115° field of view).
The phone comes with a huge 4600 mAh battery that supports 120W fast wired charging, 50W fast wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging, and it is equipped with the Surge P1 charging chip developed by Xiaomi.
Mobile phone manufacturers usually divide the battery into two parts to get fast charging speeds of more than 100 watts, which increases the space used by the battery inside the phone and requires an additional chip to charge the two batteries, which causes some power loss. The Surge P1 chipset helps Xiaomi achieve 120W charging capacity in a single cell, which reduces the battery size while maintaining the size of 4600 mAh and achieving this superfast charging speed.
Xiaomi 12 Pro has a dual stereo sound system consisting of four speakers (two tweeters and two woofers), tuned by Harman / Kardon, and supports Dolby Atmos, Dolby Vision, which is expected to give the user a unique sound experience.
Xiaomi 12X:
Unlike the previous two phones, the Xiaomi 12 X comes with a less capable Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor (compared to the 8 Gen 1 processor), with the same 6.28-inch FHD + AMOLED screen found in the Xiaomi 12, the same rear camera system as well (50MP + 13MP + 5MP) and the same 4500 mAh battery, but it only supports 67W fast charging, without wireless or reverse-wireless charging support. The Xiaomi 12X also has a stereo speaker system also tuned by Harman/Kardon
